So, I randomly came across your profile a couple of months ago and have really enjoyed reading each of your posts. I became interested in running a couple of years ago, but never really got into it hard-core. This has been my first summer actually participating in races, and really trying to improve my endurance, pace, etc. Anyway, I just ran my first 10K yesterday and I have signed up for my first half marathon in April (takes place in Salt Lake City). It's inspiring to read your stories...it gives me reason to think that I can also run a half marathon. Thanks for posting!
Christy,
Thanks! It's great to know other people are finding some inspiration. Congrats on the 10K!! And kudos for signing up for the half! That is so awesome :)
What kind of training plan will you use?
I've heard lots of good things about Hal Higdon's training schedule, so I'm thinking about using that one. Any suggestions?
